Bhavik Lalan is a graduate of the Government Law College, Mumbai, India. He started his practice, working at M S Bodhanwalla & Co., a Solicitor firm in Mumbai as an Articled Clerk on the Original Side of the Bombay High Court in 2010. In 2016, Bhavik joined the dispute resolution team of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in Mumbai. Subsequently, he worked as an Associate at the Chambers of Mr. Justice Mohit S. Shah (Retd.) and acquired training of Tribunal Secretary in domestic and international arbitration matters; before venturing out to start his practice as an arguing counsel at the Chambers of Mr. Sanjay Jain, in civil laws, constitutional law, commercial laws and ADR.
Bhavik regularly appears as a counsel in claims and defences before the Bombay High Court and Supreme Court of India; and various Tribunals, trial courts in Mumbai. He also appears before the Arbitral Tribunals in India and abroad. He has done his M. A. (Executive) in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai. He is a trained Mediator and has acted as a Mediator, Conciliator and Arbitrator in several matters. He is empaneled as a Certified Neutral with www.sama.live (an online dispute resolution platform). He is an Advocacy Trainer at Bombay Bar Association. He advises clients on an array of transactional matters including contracts, pre-litigation strategy, tenancy laws, testamentary law, charitable and religious Trusts and the like. Besides his legal practice, Bhavik is a frequent contributor to various issues which includes public policy and diplomacy, ancient beliefs practices and customs, social and spiritual awareness, use of technology in legal field. Bhavik is a Steering Committee Member at Young MCIA for 2025-2027. Bhavik is also a Member of the Indigenous Committee at LAWASIA for 2025-2026.
